saw your post....where is the cherry site? My ggggrandfather was Joel Cherry.
There are many CHERRY sites, none mine. I can't trace my Joseph CHERRY, b 1817 in England (don't know where) backwards from his marriage in Madison Co., IL in 1841. He went to Richland Co., WI in 1847, then was in Iowa Co., WI in 1850. Died there in 1874; widow, widowed daughter and sons migrated to NE where many of the descendants are today. However, Joseph's father-in-law, Michael KILLION, was born in NC in 1779 (don't know where). I've always wondered if Joseph was in NC and had siblings that may have either stayed there or migrated to TN or TX. There a lot of CHERRYS there also. Check with John Cherry at cherryj@gte.net He has a HUGE CHERRY off-line data base of same. My Joseph did have a daughter named Sarah Maria CHERRY though! Have you checked www.familytreemaker.com or www.familysearch.org ?? Sorry for the delay in answering, been out of town.
