Recently discovered after receiving lookup info from different sources - Thomas Cherry Sr. of Old Frederick Co.VA. owned acreage on both banks (VA & MD) of Potomac Riiver at mouth of Cherry Crk, VA and Licking Crk, MD about 1734-1737. It was noted on a survey that Thomas Sr. was a pilot. His son Thomas Cherry Jr. married Mary Perrin, daughter of John Perrin of MD. about 1756-58, inherited from his father and sold property there and moved to Mt. Pleaseant twp in present day Washington Co. PA. via Washington Co. MD. and Old Redstone Settlement in PA. The PA property at time in 1774 was also claimed by VA. as part of Augusta Co. VA.
