    3. Hi Sue, Yes!! Don't have much. Areas mentioned are: Bors Ness, Parish Corin, Scotland; Shotts, Wester Bonhar, Lanark, Scotland. Individuals include: Alexander CHERRY, b. abt 1744, d. abt 1818 Bathgate (near Edinburg), Scotland. Also, Cumming Cherry, b. abt 1775, s/o Alexander, d. 11 July 1845, Minersville, Pittsburgh,PA.Cumming Cherry was married to Margaret GILLIN about 1799. They had a son, also named Cumming, b. 15 Feb. 1815, Strathaven, Parish Avondale. Family legend: That Alexander Cherry was somehow related to Bonnie Prince Charles, of the Royal STUART line. That CHERRY was an assumed name in order to avoid arrest and being beheaded after the failed uprising. I am most anxious to hear if any of these names connect with your line.
