Dear Shelly Don't know whether it is the same Cherry line that you are looking for.... Cherry family has been in the Lincoln County/Gaston County North Carolina since the late 1700-early 1800. They were Scott-Irish immagrants......mainly Presbyterians......good place to start would be Unity Presbyterian Church, Denver, NC..... There is also a town named Cherryville, in Gaston County, neighboring county to Lincoln County. County seats are Gastonia, for Gaston County, and Lincolnton, for Lincoln County. Rev. Joel D.
