Looking for ancestors of my grandmother, Lena Cherry b.2/14/1891 in Clay Co.(I think) d.Oct. 1972. Was married to Oscar William Cowan. They had 12 children; William Fred, Elbert Turner,Joe, Henry Edward, Grady L., Clifton, Melvin Lee, Alvin C.(my father), Ila Mai(married Baxter Owen in Smith Co.2/6/1927)Edith and Vena(married Hall brothers), and Evelyn. Lena and Oscar are buried in Lebanon, TN at the Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. They lived much of their lives in Gallatin, TN, where most of their children were born. There is a long line of Cherry's in Clay Co. but I haven't been able to link Lena to any of them. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. This has been a roadblock! THANKS!
