All I know of the connection came from information on a family reunion for the Cherry-Joiner family in Lauderdale, Ms. around the 4th of July. We have moved so I haven't received any invitations in several year. My great aunt Miriam Cherry was very involved in the planning and she died several years ago. My grandmother, Ethel Viola Cherry married Emmett Louis Knight. Does this sound familiar?
