Your information is the first that I have seen that indicates the source of the name Carey, which you have spelled Cary, and in my line is found in Lovey Carey Cherry who married John H. Morgan in Stewart Co TN. My information is a collection of data gathered from others on the internet and elsewhere, and you should do your own verification if so inclined. You will notice that Loveys mother was Lydia Minerva Daniel. Lydia was born 1778 in NC, and moved to TN with the Cherry clan. She was 50 when Louisa Minerva Cherry was born in TN. You list a Lemuel Cherry being born in VA. A Lemuel G Cherry lived in Stewart Co TN, and was a chain carrier (surveyor work) according to Stewart Co Will extracts.
