    3. William thanks so much. It is the same person. I had his first wife as Lucy Humprheys. Did not look up on the census to see what names were there, but I do have those names, George B, Noel Franklin, and Nannie A. Emma was a nick name for Mary Enceline. She was a school teacher in Titus Co. and they they moved to Montague co. TX where they are buried. I have George B death cert. as Wichita Falls, TX. Love to hear more from you. 3. Hi Listers, I am still chasing Cherrys, this time researching my husband's 3xgt-grandfather's siblings, in particular a Benjamin Cherry, christened 1787 in St Mary Luton. He was son of James and Elizabeth. Through the IGI I have found children born to a Benjamin Cherry and Kezia from 1807 to 1813, but no marriage record. I have checked parish records, the baptisms are in the parish records, but no marriage is on record. Does anyone have a Benjamin and Kezia connection in their family tree? There is a marriage for a Benjamin Cherry and a Sarah Hawkins, 1814 in Caddington and another for a Benjamin and Mary Hawkins, 1825 also in Caddington. I was contacted by a lady quite some time ago who had the Benjamin/Mary connection in her line. Perhaps if that person has more details on the parentage of the Benjamin they can contact me again. To date I haven't found any burial references in parish records for any of the Benjamins or a Kezia, I still have 1813 onwards to go. I am keen to make sense of the early Benjamins. I am aware that there were Cherrys in both Luton and Caddington. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Larysa Cheary Adelaide, South Australia

They both were born in N.C. James was born between 1812 and 1814 and William between 1814 and 1820 (we believe). Both James, William and Mary (we believe Mary is James and William's mother) Cherry are on the 1850 Wilkinson County, GA census. James and William are on the 1860 Wilkinson County, GA census. My g.g. gf James was married to Louisa Frazier on April 30, 1835, and they had 4 children, Nancy William, Caroline and James C. (my g. gf). Louisa must have died as he then married Mrs. Mary Haywood on August 27, 1850 and they had one child, Lenorah. He then married Mary Collins on September 7, 1855 and they had one child, Henry S. Cherry. My g.g. uncle William married Permelia Frazier and they had 7 children, Frances, Sally(ie) A., Nancy A., Rena, William and Margaret. In the 1850 Wilkinson County, GA census, Permelia's sister, Martha Frazier was living with them. My g.g. gf James' children William and James C. (my g.gf) were in the civil war and William was killed in Jonesboro, GA. Mary was 64 in the 1850 Wilkinson County, GA census and head of her household. She had a 42 year old female living with her, Silvie Cherry, who we aren't sure if she was James and William's sister or another relative living with Mary or a servant. Any information that can be given on our relatives would be greatly appreciated as we are hitting a wall when trying to find them in N.C. and see who their father was or if there were any other brothers and/or sisters. Thank you. Linda
