<< I am searching anyone related to Bridget Cherry died before 1857 married to Daniel (Donald) O'Connor from I believe Doolin or Ennistimon in the parish of Killilagh, Co Clare.Ireland >> My husband's Cherrys are from Woodcock Hill, Cratloe Co. Clare, Ireland. His grandmother was Mary Agnes Cherry born February 26, 1868. Her parents were John and Mary (not too original, I know :-) ). Mary's siblings Martin, John, Annie, Jane, Delia, Margaret, Nora, Catherine, Patrick and James. Nora
I am searching anyone related to Bridget Cherry died before 1857 married to Daniel (Donald) O'Connor from I believe Doolin or Ennistimon in the parish of Killilagh, Co Clare.Ireland They had 9 children only two survived Thomas born 1827 & Michael 1801. Only Michael was married, to Alice Scales in about 1831 they had one child Michael, they emigrated to Australia on 13th June 1857 from Liverpool on the Admiral Lyons. If any of this is familiar I would love to here from you as we have nearly all the family history in Australia but nothing back in Ireland. Paul & Pam Mckinlay
The chart was an outline descendant chart from FAmily Tree Maker. All people with the same number in front of them are in the same generation, the child of the person with the next lower number that is closest above them. The people with a + are spouses. Note that many of the Cherry's married Cherry's. This is not an error. Mary E. Cherry is the gggranddaughter of Joseph Cherry. I only found the middle initial for Oliver A. Cherry. I don't know if Walter Cherry was related to Joseph Cherry other than as the father-in-law to his ggrandson. I haven't published this, but it's all from public records, census, birth, marriage, and death records, probate records, plus a few published sources. We're trying to find our three Cherry families. To the person looking for Eli I J. Cherry, he might be in Richmond in 1850 and 1860. He was married in Richmond in 1864. But there were a lot of Cherry's missing from the 1850 census in Norfolk County. I did a line by line search through the Deep Creek area and didn't find our Cherry ancestors. In Susan Wilson's listing of the descendants of Joseph Cherry, I found a gg-grandfather, Walter Cherry, but was confused about the numbering system used. Can you clarify? I assume that Walter Cherry's son Oliver A. Cherry married Mary E. Cherry but how does she relate to Joseph Cherry? Was Oliver's middle name Augustus? Was Walter related to Joseph? Have you published? John Parkerson
Thank you for the info. I'll see if I can find a connection. Betty Susan H Wilson wrote: > I don't have parents for Ely I. J. I don't have parents for Ely I. J. Cherry in my database, but there is an Ely in this chart, b. ~1785, son of Brian Cherry, who is son of Joseph Cherry. There is probably a connection. Ely I. J. Cherry should be listed with his parents in the 1850 census, but I apparently didn't find him. He was a doctor. In 1880 Ella Cherry, b. 1850 was living with him, and she appeared to be his sister, but she could have been some other relative.
