Are there any "Perkins" people or anyone with knowledge of this line being Cherokee? My Grandmother and her Mother both spoke of our being Cherokee, but being small a small child, I didn't think to inquire. It was just something we knew. We were Indian. That was good enough. Therefore, another of my lines (maternal) is Perkins. Perkins connections: PERKINS - Estes - McKinney - Wainscott/Winscot - Gossage/Gossett If anyone has any info on this surname, I will add given names.
