Have you looked under "Blevens"? Blevens IS Cherokee. And women went by their matriarchel family Clan name. Later women used a husband's name ( to hide) #1 Not all Cherokee are on the Rolls. About 70 % of the Cherokee ran for their lives and hid one way or another. Please remember millions were killed. #2 Blevens is personally interesting to me. My maternal grandfather was a Leavens and his grandfather was in the South ( Kentucky)as stated in Ohio Census The Leavens family was from Killingly, CT 1623. #3 Blevens could be "B. Leavens."
