Good questions on the people are fine if its a look up. If its conversation about the culture and what people did. We have a group for that and DNA as well. We also have a sister list for cherokee history. Music. Prayer. Chat. Etc. Trying to keep a very specialized list on track is the idea. Notice the tag line in every message explaines the use of the list. If you have need of lookups or want to post finds and explain about them. Thats fine. Do you mean just look ups on the Dawes etc lists ? I do have a question about questions concerning a James Daugherty in the Carolina area that was a trader and married a Cherokee and I wonder if anyone knows about him & his descendants who came west, stayed in the Carolinas or wandered through Tennessee ?
