A problem I am seeing with the information on Ancestry, is that it gives Bernard being the grandson of Nancy Ward, son of Daniel Hughes and Elizabeth Besty Ward. However, every single family tree shown has the children of Daniel and Betsy - their birth dates "after" the birth dates of Daniel and Elizabeth themselves. I understand that McMinnville is a separate town and is not McMinn Co. itself, but was not aware that it was not in McMinn Co. until now. My Hughes originated out of Cherokee Nation East. So, any info I give which is not accurate, is simply lack of knowledge and/or poor references, not fact. Again, I appreciate your straightening me out on these issues. However, it is Bernard Hughes' marriage into the Moytoy line and the descendants of that line that I am currently researching. Thanks again. As experienced researcher, I am in the process of correction of false info on my tree. I copied a census with my moms name - was not MY moms . I have to go re read all my data, but in the mean time, I see 22 trees that are copying every thing I post on there.
