I have Clarissa Rider and a David Thompson in my tree. Clarissa was first married to Robert Calhoun Parks, her 3rd cousin, brother of my great-grandfather, and then to David George Thompson, born in Georgia in 1840, died in IT in 1902. I don't know much about either of them since Clarissa is not my ancestor. I have lots of Thompson ancestors, but I don't think that this David Thompson is related to me either - not aware of any Davids or Georges in my family. I do try to follow up on Thompsons from Georgia with Cherokee connections because I only have information on 4 Thompson siblings from my family who married Cherokees (James Allen, Benjamin Franklin, Johnson, and Rachel) and went west to IT . I would love to find out more about the others, William Allen Jr., Ann Abigail, Elizabeth, Henry Clay, and Isabella (all born between 1790 and 1810 in South Carolina and moved to Georgia after 1810 ). Kathie, I have see, n documentation on the family you mentioned, ie., Benjamin, James Allen, Rachel. The others interested me too and I found bits on them but it was along time ago. I always shared so it would be in the archives. This group is part of the Texas Cherokee if I remember right and there use to be a terrific website with info. on them.
