Susan, David and Nancy RIder lived near my family in Georgia and for that reason I have long suspected a relationship to my line. I can not prove it though. THeir son also named several kids same names as in our family, and they were not that common. I would be very interested in anything you might find on these THOMPSONS: ? THOMPSON md. or had children with Elizabeth born abt 1827 NC lived in Fannin and Union Co. GA possible other regions. She MAYBE a LONG by birth, but that is not proven, just strong circumstantial evidence. IF so she would be dau. of James R. LONG and Uly CANSLER or a first 'wife' of this James LONG. she had: Lovada Ann b abt Jan 1845 GA James Manuel b abt 1848 NC Caroline Lydia or Lydia Caroline b abt 1849 GA possible Arminda b abt 1859 GA maybe others. These people were very mobile, Lovada married several times, ? MORGAN, Wm. Columbus FORTNER and ? DAVIS James Manuel md. Sarah Matilda SHELTON or Sarah Louise or Sarah Matilda LEATHERWOOD Caroline Lydia md. Samuel F. STANLEY James M. and Sarah moved to Marshall Co. ALA near mixed Cherokee from IVy LOG, then they went to James Co. TN and Meigs/Rhea Co.'s living in BIrchwood, SMith's X ROADS, ect. from there he took his children and went to INd. TErr. abt 1889 after 'she died'. His sister Lovada went with him as did some of his married children, all from Meigs Co. TN families who went too (CANTRELL, DAVIS family of Samuel DAVIS, MYERS, MOORE, SMITH among them). Caroline remained in GA and E TN. if anything here rings a bell, fits or could possible fit I'd be delighted to know. I have been 'stuck' for awhile on a few mysteries of this line. For one, who fathered all of Elizabeth's children? names later include Hiram, Virgil, Lovada, Cordelia, Miles "Milas" ----- Original Message ---- From: Alli :) <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, December 4, 2012 6:27:25 PM Subject: Re: [CherokeeGene] Alli: Arkansas and Missouri Cherokee Well......it may not be mine unless his parents were Thomas & Delphia :) If they are.........Oh I'd love ya for life LOL :) Alli ----- Original Message ----- From: "Susan Reynolds" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2012 7:01 PM Subject: Re: [CherokeeGene] Alli: Arkansas and Missouri Cherokee > Joyce, this David Thompson is the one who married Nancy Rider, went > west and returned east when Nancy and his youngest children died in > Cherokee Nation west, yes?
