Recently a cousin wrote this story about our ancestors. When the soldiers came to Sevier, TN and arrested my great great great grandmother & her children, her husband, Maples LONG, found them and because he was the Sheriff, he had a warrant for their arrest & took them to McMinn, TN and followed after the Trail of Tears, to AR, MO, OK where they joined with family in the territory.
