Both of my parents are 1/4 native american, so I get the indian blood equally from both of them. This is why I was dissapointed in my brothers dna test results. Michael > It depends on where the Native American blood came from as to if you show > it > on a DNA test.
By the way Michael...autosomal DNA is not used for purposes of genealogy or blood lines. Autsomal DNA is a swap between parents so it is all jumbled up. It is only the sex chromosoms that do not get jumbled from generation to generation. They do sometimes have a mutation or deletion over time which is very common in all DNA but they do not swap information between parents as the autosomal does. This is why sex chromosoms are used in genealogy and autosomal chromosoms are used to identify a person ( forensics ). Hope this helps! Sharon
