Jay, What a question. We spell it "Usually" Watkins. Even on our "Family page" There are a few of us on that site and mostly it is spelled like Watkins. However, if your speaking to us you might hear a "d" instead. But what is odd is The person "looking" at the monument spelled it with a "d" Wadkins. We are all speaking about the Same person. The photo of the tombstone is not clear--for me to read off of the computer. IF one of the members of the family doesn't reach me and explain the difference it --I plan to go to go to the Ark region anyway at the end of this week and I will confirm the difference with my closer family. And get a better photo-that I can read. A lot of the family I am "lucky" enough to still speak with are in the upper age brackets. I am sorry for not catching that mistake first.
