    3. The book is called "Springplace: Moravian Mission and the Ward Family of the Cherokee Nation" by Muriel H. Wright from the genealogical notes of Miss Clara A. Ward and others. Clara was the unmarried daughter of the Rev James Ward and Esther Hoyt. James was murdered during the Civil War and his wife left to make the trek on foot from their home to near Siloam springs, AR carrying twin babies in her arms, her three older children walking. Clara was three years old. Any of you that have access to Heritage Quest can download the book. If anyone else is interested, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you. I abstracted the genealogy chart from it and posted it on this list about three years ago. Blessings, all! Susan
