    2. My LOVE ancestor moved along with families with the surnames FINE and COPE to Montgomery County, MO by the 1850 Census. The LOVEs were Cherokee. Were the FINE and COPE families Cherokee also? I am trying to locate where in TN they were living before emigrating to MO. Thanks, Nancy

    3. There are some Copes living here in east-central Indiana that have lived here for at least the past 50 years that are of native american ancestry. Maybe they came here in the 1800's. 3. From this site's January Archives... Preston On Drennen 1851, Del. Dist. #659 I found Alexander Love with wife Susannah and child Tah-nah-ee. Miller App. #2035 was Katie Ka-Ka-wee and 2 children, Oaks Claims through grandparents, Alexander Love and Susan Love, Misc. Test P3184 Benjamin Blackfox says: I was born in 1883 in GoingSnake Dist. I was enrolled as a full blood. My Father's cherokee name was Dah-nee-naw-lih. My father had a brother by the name of David Blackfox who I think enrolled in 1851 in GoingSnake Dist. My mother was not born in 1851. My mother had one brother, Quan-nih. His English name was Ben Love. My grandparents on mothers side was Alexander Love and Susan Del. Dist #659. I do not know who Tee-nah-ye is. Signed Benjamin Blackfox. Katie was married several times. I am looking for this line because their granddaughter married Gilbert Snell.
