    3. James married according to church records June 19, 1930. I located his wife Catherine Geneva Bright in the 1930 census still living at home, just before they got married. She always went by the name of Geneva. They would be listed as white on the census. I did find a James Hill listed in Draytonville Township S.C.that matched his age, if born in 1911 living with his mother Fannie Hill. I don't know if that is them or not. But that is as close as I have come to finding them. I know that James Ervin Hill died in 1976, in Asheville, N.C. and his mother Sallie Self Hill died in 1966 in Asheville, N.C. I have a copy of both death certificates, but not much info is on them. thank you for trying to help. susan smathers ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carolyne Gould" <carolyne_cwy@yahoo.ca> To: <CherokeeGene-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, May 07, 2006 12:45 PM Subject: Re: [CherokeeGeneCommunity] lost ancestors > Perhaps your James Ervin was married before.
