I am interested in learning more about Sarah Brown's Family. Do you have any information about the rest of her family? I am from a very large Brown Family, that was in the northeastern part of Indian Territory, in the early 1800s and still have family there at the present time This John LOVELL & Sarah BROWN were my grandfather's maternal grandparents. I don't have a lot of infomation on either of them... what I can tell you is this, by 1879, they were residents of the Choctaw Nation, present day LeFlore County, Oklahoma. This is where their daughter Maudie May Lovell was born in 1879. According to family history and census records John Lovell was born at Tennessee. Sarah Brown was born at Arkansas. I believe they were married in Texas, about 1864. I believe I have found John Lovell on the 1850 and 1860 census, first at Van Zandt County, Texas and next at Wise County, Texas. I have yet to find Sarah Brown on the census before her marriage to John Lovell, if you see any connection to your family, I would love to know! John and Sarah died about 1912 and are buried in unmarked graves at the Old Panther Cemetery, in Haskell County, Oklahoma. Maudie died in 1920 and is buried at Tamaha, OK.
