I apologize that I was not paying attention to the Martin discussion, but as I was looking at some of my family information this morning, I note that I have a lot of information on my Martin connection, which stems from Valentine Martin (1710-1760), whose will was probated in Cumberland Co., VA. This line was apparently of French Huguenot descent. Martin Martin and his wife, Sarah Hix, are the parents of Valentine. Martin died in New Kent Co., VA but he owned land in Goochland Co., VA, which at the time of his purchase was part of Henrico Co.
