Hi everyone, I'm new to this but my Cherokee roots have led me to suspect that the wife of the above-referenced William YOUNG was my ancestor's sister. I am trying to determine her MAIDEN NAME (hopefully it was Jane LOVE) This family had moved from TN to Webster County, MO by the Census of 1860 father: Williiam (b. abt. 1823 TN) mother: Jane (b. June, 1822 TN) father b. NC, mother b.GA (or NC) daughter: Mary YOUNG (b. abt 1843 TN) son: James YOUNG (b. abt 1847 TN) m. Rebecca E. (b. abt 1837 TN) son: Reese YOUNG (b. abt 1849 TN) daughter: Sarah A. YOUNG (b. abt. 1850 TN) daughter: Martha A. YOUNG (b. abt. 1850 TN) son: John H. YOUNG (b. Sept 1853 TN) wife Mary m. abt. 1872 son: Leroy YOUNG b. abt. 1863 MO) My ancestor, William J. LOVE (b. abt 1798 NC) would be the father of Jane YOUNG -- if we have the right woman.
