No, I didn't know that. I have been concentrating solely on Mom's Cherokee maternal line and just starting to get into Jess's. I knew that Beck Township was named for the Beck's but nothing else. I thought Jess lived with Tom Beck but someone (I forget who now) told me on a genealogy site it was actually William. I don't know why he was orphaned. Thanks! "Joyce G.
