That's interesting about finding the surname, just goes to show ya when you come across a bit of information, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time, keep it cos you never know what a gold mine it may offer after you research more. Genealogy is like a big puzzle. With bits here and there it eventually takes a shape. Just wanted to add, she was alive during the Dawes. Hicks doesn't list their children. If they met the criteria for the Dawes then they could be listed, unless they never left Georgia. We need more info though. I hope LaRuth enjoys the rich heritage connected to her family. 846.
