    3. I may be wrong, but "White" is a European/English name (don't know the politically correct term LOL) so you may have to get back to your triple great's. What are the Surnames that you think connect to the Cherokee blood I've got a book that's currently in hiding that I'll look thru. Alli :) >I haven't got much to go on. 3. Good Question?>>... I don't have a clue. I'll have to find out, because from what I understand the surname is White. I could be wrong. I just recently discovered that I am cherokee and Choctaw so I just got in touch with an aunt of mine who has been working on the family tree, but is at a dead end with it. I really want to find all my information on my family so that my kids will know where they came from. I would reall appreciate it if you looked through that book of yours and got back to me on it. THANKS Michelle Alli <iamcheroke@gmail.com> wrote: I may be wrong, but "White" is a European/English name (don't know the politically correct term LOL) so you may have to get back to your triple great's. 3. If you can give me a list of the names in your tree on the side of the Cherokee, I'll see if I can help open some doors for you (so to speak) :) You never know it could be your White line, but I like to check out all the possible names in case its another one that leads to the Cherokee. I'm always running into dead ends on my dad's side of the tree LOL Alli :) > Good Question?>>... I don't have a clue. I'll have to find out, because > from what I understand the surname is White. 3. Michelle, I remember when I was a child (too many years ago), I will never forget all the jokes "about the traveling salesman who passed thru town". There were many families of dark complexion kids born to fair skin, light haired parents. Obviously both parents had N A ancestors a few generations back and suddenly that blood line became the dominant line. My maternal grandpa had a grandma that was supposed to be 1/2 Cherokee and a grandpa from the other side of his family that was called 'black dutch" and that explains our native blood lines. There was also some native blood in my grandma also, but we haven't found just how far back it goes; however, all 13 children born to my grandparents having the combined blood lines and they really don't need further proof; however, I am still trying to find a surname for my grandpa's grandma. At least if gives us something to do in our old age.
