Although these copies aren't the best, you an be sure that NARA will send you more easily readable ones. When you order your Dawes packet from NARA in Ft. Worth, it will contain copies of original docs like birth,death affadavits and marriage certificates. Also there may be copies of original letters in your ancestor's handwriting.
