Osiyo Tonya, Well, the gift shop had Tear Dresses at about $200. a pop so I decided to make my own. The pattern was less than $6.00. It is not a classic pattern, however. Each dress needs to be customized to the wearer by careful measuring. My machine doesn't do zig zag stitches so I will have to upgrade. I am thinking of a turquoise or green calico print with contrasting gold or green (depending on the dress color) diamond shapes and ribbon. I plan to wear it during the Cherokee Nation Anniversary in Tahlequah during Labor Day in a couple of weeks. If I have time I will make my husband a matching Cherokee ribbon shirt.
