Betty Perhaps that is because the size of the Cherokee nation shrank with every treaty. I'm trying to recall a site that would have all the maps that would show the size and location of Cherokee lands after each treaty. Maybe that is something I need to do...build a page that has the different maps on it. Their last lands comprised southeast TN and some of NC, ALA, GA Joyce Gaston Reece ----- Original Message ----- From: Bettye Woodhull To: CherokeeGene-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, December 04, 2005 5:51 PM Subject: Re: [CherokeeGeneCommunity] Roane Co, TN Hi Joyce. All of my old Alabama maps imply "Chickasaw Nation" , but I don't have any old maps listing "Cherokee Nation". Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking! Bettye ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joyce G.
