I am unaware of the research you mentioned, But I'm intrigued by such things that Karen's mentioned & you've mentioned. Researchers were allowed by the Pope to snip a fragment of a earlier piece of the cloth that was placed over Jesus after they put him to rest. Supposedly his image adhered to the cloth. I just happened to be looking for something to watch on Dish and came across this segment. They tested the material and got dna and ran the timeline back to the time of Jesus. There was a lot of interesting stuff revealed. I don't remember all of it but you can bet I watch the NTGEO channel for research reasons.
