    3. I am unaware of the research you mentioned, But I'm intrigued by such things that Karen's mentioned & you've mentioned. I don't always follow up to learn more as I've got a lot of irons in the fire & get easily excited about a new topic ;) But if a person doesn't keep an open mind, especially when doing genealogy, then they have the potential to miss a lot of little things that can help. -----Original Message----- From: cherokeegene-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cherokeegene-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Adiene Humble via Sent: Monday, July 21, 2014 8:13 PM To: Karen; cherokeegene@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CherokeeGene] How did "Jesus" get the Y? There's been a lot of speculation regarding Jesus's blood, especially since the shroud that supposedly had his imprint on it. There was a whole series on National Geographic and even about bibical evens that was really interesting. First of all I'm a believer of God and a converted Catholic but some of these realistic films really deserves watching especially if one is researching our ancestors. It is so easy for us to be narrow minded in our research but it should be the opposite. Don't "fix" you ancestors in one area as they traveled further than you think, back and forth as well. Perhaps this was due to warring situations. In other words, keep an open mind. I've been studying the dna process for a long time and in out messages I've not heard the mention of the Cambridge Reference Sequence. Anyone know anything about this? Adiene

    3. Researchers were allowed by the Pope to snip a fragment of a earlier piece of the cloth that was placed over Jesus after they put him to rest. Supposedly his image adhered to the cloth. I just happened to be looking for something to watch on Dish and came across this segment. They tested the material and got dna and ran the timeline back to the time of Jesus. There was a lot of interesting stuff revealed. I don't remember all of it but you can bet I watch the NTGEO channel for research reasons.
