The people that post trees on ancestry (at least for my lines) are a GIANT pain in the back side..they have double to triple names of the same person. They have people getting married when they are 12 yrs old dying while they're still having kids...putting where they lived in a certain as the place of birth. I mean COME ON!!!!!!!!! I don't know why I bother. And what is up with Fold3 being apart of ancestry? Why can't people just not add info. until they can verify it. And having 3-4 different dates for the same person...doesn't ANYONE double check first? I relize trying to verify people born in the 1700 early 1800's isn't always easy but come on. Not to mention not excepting or claiming every common name that comes along as your line w/o proof..oey/oy Anyone else having trouble with a brick wall?

That's why I keep my ancestry tree private so people cant copy yet. I found I had a great grand listed as a dau - it came that way because I used the add to my tree link. I use FTM private on my PC only now, when I am done, my family will get a print out - even if they don't want it. Find a grave is also a part of Ancestry - and when you search it goes to the Archive search and you have to be a paid member there - now too. Getting time to finalize what I have so far and get out of dodge - costs too much. I dropped my ancestry as of the 28th this month - so I cant do look ups any more for people. Ya, people make an error in a tree and rather than validate the problem, they just claim the error. That's a problem with an interactive system - its screwing up history - ancestry is a fault.
