Hi Walsie, It's been too long since we talked! I hope you are doing well :-) I have a new email address. My old address tomnpat@iland.net is still working for the next few weeks. I was going to write you this week and let you know this. George Wilson Sr. married Ruth Springston. She is also known as Ruth Drumgoole. Ruth's Parents are William Springston and Nancy Augusta. Nancy Augusta's second husband was Alexander Drumgoole, SR. Nancy had 2 children by Alexander Drumgoole Sr -Nannie Drumgoole, and Alexander Drumgoole, Jr.. Ruth Springston is listed in Starrs "History of the Cherokee" under both Springston and Drumgoole families. At first I thought they were 2 different people, but it seems they are one in the same.I know that the genealogy department at the Cherokee Heritage Center list her as a Springston, but notes she has been known as a Drumgoole. Though most believe that the Dr George Wilson from SE district (CNW, and the one married to Lizzie and Effie Davis and Carmelita Noriega) is George and Ruth's son, but I have found that George Wilson, Jr from Delaware District is really their son. Here's how it goes. George Wilson, Jr was listed on the 1851 Old Settler Roll as DE53 with his son Wilson DE53. Dr George Wilson is also on this Roll in the Sequoyah district. I have Tom's grandfather, James Daniel Wilson and James' 3 half siblings as drawing the 1896 O.S. Roll Payment fromt their Grandfather, George Wilson, Jun DE53 and from their Uncle, Wilson Wilson, DE53. The genealogist at the Cherokee Heritage Center had George Wilson, Jun DE53 listed as the son of George and Ruth Wilson. They also had Wilson Wilson, DE53 listed with him, but did not know if he was a brother or son. Our info on the 1896 O.S.Payment was added to their info and it shows Wilson as Georges' son. Their information as to which one was the son of Geo! rge and Ruth came through the Nations records. They have been going through the records and entering the info on the computer, trying to build a National Family Tree. I think it is part of the First Families of the Cherokee Nation project. I also have a number of marriages between Grandpa James' Maternal and Paternal lines, that puts our George Jun as the right son of George and Ruth Wilson. I can send you what I have on that if you want it. Also, Dr George Wilson has never been listed as a Junior, though I know that doesn't always matter, but George Wilson Jr has always carried the Jr. My belief at this time, is Dr George Wilson is the Grandson of Chief Doublehead, and son of Peggy Doublehead and William Wilson. This comes through some Timson family connections, and it is just my theory. Now all this has led me back to Who is George Jr's wife. I am not sure if one or more of the wives listed for Dr. George Wilson is suppose to be with our George Jr. or if he was married to someone else completely different! I know these two have been mixed and matched for a long time, I just hope it doesn't take as long to straighten them out. LOL Anyway, I'll email this week and thanks for helping! Patty Am I wrong on whom George JR. Wilson married I have it he was born abt. 1825 and his father was George Wilson and mother Ruth Springton nee Drumgoole please correct me if I am wrong. Walsie
