Now I learn from the Utah "Desert News" and Eastman's Genealogy Newsletter that totally false genealogies are being fabricated just to post advertisements on the web with them. You can read about this at the following sites. Lura http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/1,1249,635160683,00.html and _http://eogn.typepad.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2005/11/generating_fake.htm l_ (http://eogn.typepad.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2005/11/generating_fake.html) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is dispicable and greedy. I have always verified & used internet genealogies as "leads" - simply because honest mistakes are made. But to think that that someone is doing this on purpose - should be illegal, as FRAUD. Perhaps we should all report any instances of these to all of our groups and post records on the sites /internet of known offenders... Would LOVE to see them get caught... THANK YOU FOR THE NOTICE AND LINKS... I am forwarding this message to some of my other groups... Nancy J. Capps Cumberland County, NC <<<0>>>

The previously posted name(s) YON/YUN comes from another descendant branch of this SHINE-WESTBROOK line. So they all may also be possibilities... 1. Bear Creek area, ALA. - Rev.W.J. LEE
    2. THANK YOU CAROLYNE! Our LEEs include a very LONG line of ministers, and since they did branch off that way It is probable he is the same. They also went by initials many times- so often it is hard to determine proof without further research. This does give me a good lead to research! Bless you. Have a wonderful day! There is a Lee mentioned on page 263; the Rev. W.J. Lee is among a list of pastors at the Mulberry Baptist Church between 1867-1903. Since W.J. Lee is listed first, I presume he was the first known pastor at that church. It was located in Beat 3, about 6 miles southwest of Centreville, on what is now State Highway 25. Carolyne

    3. My great great grandmother, said to be full blood cherokee but I've since decided she must not have been full..based on the ONLY person I can find that fits her at all...in any of the census records, was also from around the Bear Creek area in Tuscaloosa. I would be interested to just learn more about the area itself in terms of it possibly being an area for native american communities. Anyone know? Thanks Sharon P.S. my great great grandmother was a Lett and a newspaper article has her (if it is HER) marrying a Boover man in someone's home in Bear Creek.

    3. Sharon, there is a Bear Creek in Marion County, AL - you will find this on the map in the northeast corner between Hackleburg and Haleyville. I have cemetery inscriptions for burials prior to 1979 as that is when the book was published.
