I've always been very open-minded but then some of my family may think me kooky at times but hey, this is life & stranger things have happened. I watched the show on TV about the Shroud of Turin and believe as well, this is really Jesus' image ... no one can prove it is not even if they try. Such a miracle. Here's the show I watched on the History Channel, it shows a 3-D image of the face which many believe to be Jesus. So exciting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsQfxhSrfB8 Then here is a very interesting video, explains alot. Lots of places talk about the older dna and trying to find the tracing of people. One of the greatest challenges is the fact that the people came from many places even before becoming native Americans. One of those traces is the one that claims one common ancestor in Ethiopia. Another is claiming the finding of the giants, but all the evidence is gone by some mystery. Some others are just names of people. Ever wonder where * your * name began and why or how? So many people want to claim some native now days when once, no one wanted to know, or have it told that they were of NA ancestors. Some today, still dont want it known. Its a hard challenge to get to find out which of the people are related to whom. Also some of the DNA tests, I dont think are really doing what was expected unless when You find a DNA result and it looks like your not going to prove NA. Think about a few things. 1. If I have Euro DNA ? Maybe my Euro people came here or traveled with, the same people who became NA? 2. look up Roanoke settlers, they merged with the Indians and lived with them so long, they think they are Indians even tho the dna says not. But in current pow wow you can see that it looks like they are not even close. I think I posted that u tube documentary while back. Dan
I watched this over 10 years ago. That was very interesting. I always thought that since he rose, his image was put on the cloth some how by the energy that all that happened with. There have been many updates on this how ever the cloth was damaged beyond use for any more tests and they had to use some they had saved in a lab. I will find that info if i can. It would be nice to have a accurate dna on Jesus. But maybe not truly possible . I notice that Thompson was listed and my mom's great grandmother was Nancy Ellen Thompson Weeks from LA. Her sister married mom's great granduncle but must have died shortly after because she James Z Weeks remarried to Sarah Jane Cooper two years later. They settled in Newton Co, TX around 1834 or so and was in LA before that. Their sisters, Isabelle married Moses Daniels, and Mary married an Evans, Elizabeth married Robert James Alexander. Nancy Ellen Thompson, my line, date of birth was written in an old bible which I have these pages from that bible listing the names, dates, spouses, etc. I'd love to connect this line to their families. Their father was John Thompson (1813 MS) who I believe was the son of Archibald Thomson (745 TN( and lived next door to them in the 1850 census.. Any connection, please let me know. Would be happy to share copy of bible records. I believe that these families came west early and through MS and the families settled around them continued on to East Texas. Robert Weeks daughters married Phelps, Conner, and Coopers. His father was Zedock Weeks. The Weeks lived in GA, NC and SC so they came West very early. Researchers were allowed by the Pope to snip a fragment of a earlier piece of the cloth that was placed over Jesus after they put him to rest. Supposedly his image adhered to the cloth. I just happened to be looking for something to watch on Dish and came across this segment. They tested the material and got dna and ran the timeline back to the time of Jesus. There was a lot of interesting stuff revealed. I don't remember all of it but you can bet I watch the NTGEO channel for research reasons. It really is interesting & I'm led to believe it is true. Ron Wyatt says the blood he found was tested & found to have only 24 Chromosones, whereas everyone else has 46 (23 from your mother & 23 from father) but this blood had only 23 Chromosones from the mother & a only one 'Y' Chromosone came from a source, "not a human male." He talks about this towards end of video clip. Yes, the same Lemuel Dugan LONG #22248 I found a death certificate in Joplin which lists the names of her parents. She has no other known documents. Her birth date & marriage date indicates she as 15 years old but no known documents in KS or other states. I'll do more searches in hopes of finding something new. Do you have her death certificate? Her obituary? You can request a copy of her file from the Funeral home as well as from the cemetery. Do you have a copy of her marriage license? Depending on her age, she may have had to have her father give permission for it & he’d be listed. I’ve seen similar names…….but Lemuel Long sticks out. It depends on the year that she was born. There’s census records, church records, school records. I’m assuming she was born at home. There’s also death records & marriage records. My grandmother was born at home & her father had to write a letter stating that fact in order for her to attend school. She was born in 1906-7 so there might be something similar for yours, depending on her year of birth. :) Not very helpful, but hopefully it is some what :) From: David STEVENS [mailto:david.stevensturner@gmail.com] Sent: Friday, July 18, 2014 11:12 PM To: Alli :); cherokeegene@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CherokeeGene] Listing names My greatgrandmother was Lottie Mahala LONG SMILEY (and a bunch of other names), the daughter of Lemuel LONG but she has no birth record so how do I prove she's the daughter of her father ?
