Thanks Barb :) I'm not totally back though. Baby's ok. She's in the hospital right now, hopefully be out by the wkend but who knows. Mom (Me) is doing ok a little annoyed with the nurses from last night but otherwise I'm impatiently waiting for Jes to get released & to get started on my yard & garden & get back to genealogy again :) I thought I was back on the Culture list, but that seems pretty quiet so I may not be, I noticed that was pretty quiet too. Alli :) > Alli: Welcome back. How is that new baby?? How is mom??? It's been > pretty > quite. That I can tell. We look forward to you chats once again. > > Barb sc
Thank you Tonya Yeah its hard not having her at home w/us, up until last night I felt ok about her being there...last night's nurses kind of make me wonder about the quality of care all the baby's are receiving of a night. But she's gaining weight...slowly, she's staying awake longer (for me anyway). I think she's doing good. Alli :) > Hi Alli, > Thank you for getting back to us about what you and Jessica > have been going through. Our prayers are with you both. Thank you Grandma She's actually doing good. She's just a picky eater when it comes to the formula :) I mentioned to the Dr & nurses the digestion issue too. Nope can't be it? it "has to be" brain mal function. So maybe when they get the MRI & EEG result's back (Fri.) they'll know one way or another. I think she's just a heavy sleeper like her dad & brothers & a picky eater like her brothers were (are) when it came to formula. Thank you for the Prayers they are helping Alli :) > Alli, I am so sorry little Jessica isn't doing as wall as she should. > There > may be some kind of problem with her digestive tract. Hi Alli, Just a quick note to let you know 18 years ago my three day old son was admitted to Childrens Hospital in Washington DC with "the highest bilirubin count they ever saw that didn't receive a transfusion." I had been breastfeeding and thought he was an easy baby because he slept so much, but turns out my breastmilk was contributing to his jaundice so he had lost weight. After 3 days under the lights (and an IV in his head, the poor little guy) he fully recovered. The docs said a side effect might be developmental problems because the bilirubin stains brain cells and creates a condition called Kinectaris (sp?). He had to get tested by specialists one time too at two weeks (they hooked him up with electrodes, put ear phones on him, flashed lights etc. while he slept). Just wanted to assure you he was always the top of his class and graduated with honors last year and now is heading off to college. Don't let the docs scare you too badly. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Having a baby is a beautiful adventure and I miss those days! Jerri __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Sorry Barbara for running off :) I was late on leaving :) Jessica was born on the 11th (c-section) she inhaled a lot of amniotic fluid so had to be on a breathing machine (c-pac?) for 3 days & then went to an oxygen deal (just the thing that goes under your nose but not in it) & that was for another day & a 1/2. then we both got to go home on fri. night. She had a low level of Jaundice but they figured she'd come out of it as did I. Well, something wasn't working right in her little body as this past Monday she ended up being admitted to the hospital for dehydration & a high level of Jaundice. she had also lost some weight. As of yesterday her Jaundice level was down to 11.9 so she's off all lights, but she's not waking up as often and eating as much as they (nurse & pediatrician) would like her to. so now they've got her on a high fat, high protein, high electrolyte IV drip to hopefully kick her system in gear & get her to fatten up some. She's (as of midnight) 6 pounds 5.6 oz's that's almost or where she was at a week ago. The Pediatrician is consulting w/some specialist at another hospital & they took a CT scan & an MRI. They want to (forget the word) eliminate (that's it) any 'possible' problems. they are only (really) focusing on from the time she was admitted this last Monday as to be the possible cause for her not waking up easily & eating a lot, but she was that way at birth. So who knows. But she's doing good, didn't like the formula that they first put her on so she wasn't eating it quickly (Enfamil) now she's on some stuff called Nutramigen(e) that she likes a lot better, but they are only feeding her it every 6 hrs. she wasn't eating the Enfamil every 3 so they figure she's just not hungry until its 6 hrs. And of course they won't admit that she could just not like the flavor (nurse). I go in & see my munchkin every 3 hrs. which I need to get off my tush to do now. Alli :) > Okay will see if I can catch him. Love the name Jessica. > > Barbara

Dear Jerry Walker, Was born and raised in Chelsea, Ok. I know there was a Levi Lovell there. He ran a little store at Winganon, Ok. We also had browns living about a quarter of a mile from us but unable to come up with the first name Also, Robinsons and Morrisons. They are all buried in the Chelsea Cemmetery. We also had a Nelson Martin married into our family for the people seeking Martins and he definitely was Cherokee. Hope this helps. Southwind in Coffeyville, Ks.

I don't have a lot of infomation on either of them... what I can tell you is this, by 1879, they were residents of the Choctaw Nation, present day LeFlore County, Oklahoma. This is where their daughter Maudie May Lovell was born in 1879. According to family history and census records John Lovell was born at Tennessee. Sarah Brown was born at Arkansas. I believe they were married in Texas, about 1864. I believe I have found John Lovell on the 1850 and 1860 census, first at Van Zandt County, Texas and next at Wise County, Texas. I have yet to find Sarah Brown on the census before her marriage to John Lovell, if you see any connection to your family, I would love to know! John and Sarah died about 1912 and are buried in unmarked graves at the Old Panther Cemetery, in Haskell County, Oklahoma. Maudie died in 1920 and is buried at Tamaha, OK. I have a John Lovell in my family tree, but I don't recall his wife's name, but I think it was Truell. I'll have to check their dates too. You have family in nearly the same locations of Okla. that my dad has also. I noticed that you have a Morrison line.....my mom is a Morrison.....where did yours come from or end up at? I'm not sure of all of the states, but I know that at least a family or 2 of Morrison's ended up in Neb. & came from or thru Mo. I also have White's on my Dad's line.....I believe they married into the Lovell line, but I'll double check later.....got them back to Mo. & they ended up in Okla. I also have Thompson's in my dad's line.....they were from N.C. & ended up in Okla....or at least a few of them did. My 4th great Thompson (Thomas Thompson) married into the Cherokee Tribe. Don't know for sure if she was a full blood (been told by other researchers she was) or 1/2. I have a Dyer in the tree .......a Nancy Dyer married a Phariss. Has anyone approached the national news with this information? I think this information being exposed on the evening news, 20./20 or some other major news show would be more effective than trying to persuade the bunch in Washington to do anything right. Most of the nation more than likely has no idea that this type of thing is going to happen. Just my 2 cents.
