I am trying to locate information regarding my family heritage to James Hardie Syphurs, Cherokee Indian. He is my biological Great Grandfather which I have never met. I believe he may have been born in 1900. I have been using ancestry.com and found a James Hardie Syphurs who passed away in 1953 but no other information. To my knowledge he lived in Blount County in Alabama. He and my Great Grandmother (who is passed away) divorced and my Great Grandmother never discussed her marriage to Grand Father Syphurs. They had two children together: Mary Elizabeth and Patricia. My Grandmother Mary Elizabeth passed several years ago of a massive heart attack. Any family history information you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
