For your information Angela I figure somebody has to know something about the man other than "he was known as Chief Redbird" and since somebody is saying he was Native American why not ask those that may know more about Native Americans. Let me go a bit further by saying that since nobody has proven to me that he wasn't and no one has proven to me that he was then I have no real answer do I? Plus he did have descendants. It's a genealogy thing not something that this board understands. These lists are not used as they should be because of the negative attitudes of most of its members. I hardly ever see a fight on other lists. IF YOU OR ANYONE ELSE HAS A PROBLEM WITH ME BEING ON THIS LIST AND POSTING ANYTHING...HAVE ME KICKED OFF. OTHER THAN THAT I AM NOT MOVING. I REFUSE TO LET ANYONE TELL ME WHO I SHOULD OR SHOULDN'T ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT. I wonder if any of you "Indians" have given any consideration to the fact that someone on this list may actually be somewhat Indian. What happens when someone else finds their native american ancestors and can actually prove it? (poetic justice) Are they going to be treated the same way? You guys go ahead..perpetuate the cycle because that is all you are doing. You are accomplishing nothing by being nasty to others.
