Hi, is there anyone out there who can help me trace my Native American line of Lawsons? We have a DNA test result that proves our connection with Native Americans thru the male line. Oral tradition indicates Cherokee. Our ancestor, David Lawson, is first proven in Logan Co WVA in 1838. Apparently the family was escaping the Indian Removal. He was born in about 1803, NC/TN.
