i would like to find heritage info concerning my family name "Priest". as you can imagine, when i type in Priest anywhere, I get catholic stuff. my grandfather and great grandfather both attested to being cherokee. my great grandfather looked just like Sitting Bull.. any help is appreciated.. linda priest watkins

Linda, Are you doing "boolean" searches? Like putting in "Linda Priest" would get better results than just Linda Priest without the quotes. Or "Linda Priest" + genealogy would be good to use - just using your name as an example. You might look up "boolean" on a search engine and get more ways to use it. It's usually the "advanced" search. It's one of the first things I teach in my genealogy classes.
