I don't think this lady was Indian but the person who I had the mtdna match with says his mother has documentation. Don't know. Here is some information on Rosetta and her husband James Townsel. Rosetta Townsel was a SPENCE (Spencer?), b. Missouri - m'd 1879 Logan Co., Ark., and was James Townsel's 2nd wife - 1st wife Margaret Westmoreland, m'd 1868 Yell Co., Ark - James already had 4 children when he married Rosetta. James was born in Ky and I suspect he is the James, b. Pulaski Co., Ky. This James's parent were Isaac Henderson Townsel and Mary "Polly" TURNER. James Townsel's parents are listed as both born in Virginia and he served as a Private in the 5th W.Va Infantry and later in the 1st W.Va Veterans Infantry during the Civil War (WVa was Va until 1863) and Rosetta Townsel applied for his pension in 1911 Johnson Co., Ark, where their son James Harrison Townsel's 1917 WWI draft registration card is registered and where Rosetta probably died James Townsel's parents' lines lead back to a double TURNER (his mother and father were 1st cousins thru the TURNERs) link in S.E. Ky and leads further back to the Lea/Lee, Suddarth/Suddeth, Green, Penn/Pinn, Fleming, Berkeley, Randolph, Bolling, Isham, Kennon peope of Amherst, Nelson, Buckingham Co.'s Va and earlier Amherst & New Kent Co's of the 1600's,
