I got my MTdna at www.gentree.com, but I wouldn't recommend them. Go to a more reliable source. Some of the forums at www.genforum.com are doing specific surnames. Lots of research already in the works. Ancestry.com does them also. Once you find your ancestry, you have to show sources and direct ancestry to someone on the rolls. If you can do this, then go to the library at Cherokee, N.C., they will help if you have enough evidence. Cherokee is a very close knit community and they let very few new members in. If any! The Cherokee's in Oklahoma are also a place to go. They will both send you an application, but it is still hard. If you truly are of Cherokee descent, it will eventually be found. LOL! Maybe! I am from Tennessee and My Wilson's are 2 seperate families: (1) Issac Wilson b. Mar. 18, 1786 d. June 17, 1874 s/o Augustus Wilson /Ann Rice m.
