My Cherokee Ancestor was born 1760 in Ootelwah,Tenn.In 1782 she married John Sutton, a Trader, born 1755 in Bath Co. Va. I know her name as Betsey Sutton but not her family name and where she lived before marriage. John and Betsey had four sons, John, Elijah, Henry and Robert. After her husband died about 1800, Betsey returned to her home. I found her on the Henderson Roles in 1835 .. That is the last information I have concerning Betsey. I am a descendent of her son John and know of his life. What I'd think about is where Betsey lived and of her family before her marriage, if anyone has advice or information I would deeply appreciate any help.Vivian from Indiana.
