    1. Jocie Jourdan-Springfield ARK
    2. Peggy Tanner McDonald
    3. Does anyone on this list have any information on a Josephine 'Jocie' Jourdan. She was the daughter of Thomas Jourdan of Van Buran ARK. She died in 1910. She was about 15 when she married Jasper Collin VanCleve in Springfield, Conway Co.,ARK on 16th of Feb 1890. Her daughter, Clemmie, said she was born in Falkner County near Conway. I'm really not sure that her father was Thomas as someone gave me that info. without telling me where it came from. I have a copy of a Marriage Certificate. Her daughter, Clemmie Anna VanCleve, said her father was a Methodist preacher and her mother was Cherokee. Clem was born 7 Jan 1904 and was very young when Jocie died. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Keep In Touch Peggy Tanner McDonald (Pat) Don't give up, Remember the Mighty Oak was once a NUT!

    1. Bone
    2. Thomas
    3. I am looking for information on George Washington BONE from Oklahoma. He was born about Dec. 25, 1884 Unknown State of Birth. George Bone lived in Cleveland County in Oklahoma with his wife Nora (Bartholomew) around 1909 where he had a son Calvin Bone. George Bone later moved to Lawton Oklahoma for a while. Nora later remarried so I don't know if George Bone died or they divorced and he moved somewhere else. It is possible that he moved around the Chickasha Oklahoma area or maybe even moved back to Cleveland County in Oklahoma. I have been told by family members that George Bone was a Cherokee. I think the County Seat for Cleveland County is Norman Oklahoma. Any info on this Family Line would be greatly appreciated. Thomas Hathorn thomas@pldi.net

    1. any Cherokee with Triplett surname
    2. Dorothy Swafford
    3. Hi, to all I'm wondering if there is anyone on this list that knows anything about Cherokee people who have the Surname of "Triplett." I know that in the Dawes-Guion Miller rolls of 1898-1914 there are 17 Cherokee with the surname of "Triplett" and I've been trying to find out which line or branch of Triplett they might be from. Does anyone have a clue? By 1898, my Tripletts were in Missouri and Kansas. Like a lot of people, I have an "unamed" gggGrandmother, who with Thomas Triplett b. 1769 birthed their children in Burke Co., North Carolina starting in 1789-1807. Thanks, for reading this, and I do keep up with reading the messages on this board. Thanks, Dorothy Triplett Swafford

    1. Thank you, Renae.
    2. Hi Renae, Just wanted to thank you for sharing, "I Feel Cold". It speaks truth to so many of our country's and our worlds problems. Showing Hate and Fear, will always spread the same, Showing Love and Peace spreads the same. There is plenty of hate and bigotry in the country, it seems to have grown a lot in the last few years. Is that really something our world needs more of? If we all speak to each other with an open heart and open mind between individuals on a personal basis, we can make our land a better place. Our ancestors all had many bad things done to them, and that they did to others, usually at the instigation of the government. That was then - this is a new time and we have the choice of making now a better time, or keeping everything the same. Which kind of world do we want? Only when we speak and care for each other on our own personal level, ignoring the hate and fear mongering of the government and others, will we learn the "true heart" of those "others". We may find they have a lot to offer. We may find a "really good person" beneath that mask of hostility. Someone we would like to make our friend. Maybe, we will find that we can not be a "friend" to everyone, nor even want to........... Maybe, but until we "communicate" - we will never know, will we? Jeri

    1. LOWRY Surname
    2. deanna ashford
    3. I am looking for information on Henry Charles LOWRY. He was born about 1780 and married to Annie. According to an enrollment application made by Isom Rutherford LOWRY, he was making application through his grandfather Charles (or Charlie) and stated that his grandmother was Annie, a daughter of John Ross. I know John ROSS had a daughter by that name but don't think she would not be Indian. Anyone have information on this line of Lowry"s? Deanna
