    2. Alli
    3. Glad to see some activity on here. Hope everyone came through the new year unscathed, I got 4 1/2 hrs of sleep. I was on cow calving duty. I guess she's decided she's going to keep it cooking for a while. She's a new cow for us, so we're not 100% of her breeding date, the guy said April/May, but I don't think so. But then again, I have strange animals. LOL Anyway, is that all the % that you have? What's the other 46% that might lead you somewhere. Gene's pick & choose (so to speak) when they make an appearance, so the viking genes may have been making their way to make their appearance till you? LOL My boys all take after my side, brunette hair, darkish skin. They were born blonde, then slowly turned brunette over time or sandy blonde. Except my 18 yr old. He turned Brunette quickly, but has blonde roots. All blue eyed beauties. My dad is blue eyed (several of his family) & my husband is blue eyed & blonde. But my dad has the Cherokee connection on his side & I'm guessing that's where the "tan" comes from. My youngest, took after her dad light complexion & she couldn't decide what hair color she wanted, started blonde, went to brunette for a bit as a baby then went back to very blonde but now she's back to a brunette. LOL We have English, Wales, Europe (I forget which part), but Asia (some part), Ireland, Scotland & some others I forget. It's been interesting to see between what my the 2 DNA test's. My husband shows European, irish & other traits. DNA has opened a lot of skeleton filled closest's LOL Alli On 1/1/20 10:49 AM, Glena Gonser via CHEROKEE-DNA wrote: > Thank you!  I did my AncestryDNA a year ago.  I am 54 % English, Wales and northern Europe.  I do have Jewish in my DNA.  Nothing direct about me Native American.  However, I have ancestors in New York, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.  I have one ancestor that is my 4th great grandfather around early 1800's and have a picture of him and he definitely looks Native American. 1. [CHEROKEE-DNA] Question about being a match but no matches
    2. Alli
    3. Ok.....Ancestry DNA question..... How can you be a match to someone.......but you have no one in common or no other matches & no other way to figure out how you match because they don't have a tree & they're anywhere from 3rd cousin's to 8th cousin's. I have come across a few that "match" but we have no other matches....there's only so many surnames that I'm familiar with & most have several "cousins" connected. any ideas Alli

I have a mtDNA that was taken & I was trying to decipher some of it before I gave them the results. On 7/28/2018 9:46 PM, janette kaiser wrote: > Thanks for the information Joe.
