My stepdad who was English complained bitterly about the Strip mining here in WV. At least now they do replant trees they used to leave it bare. He said it looked like what it was raping the mountains. Ruth

Ruth, Where do you live in WV? Are you near West Vaco in Randolf County? My daughter and her husband work at the research center there trying to learn what the coal and logging companies are doing to the environment.
