Not in the hoof wall but under the sole (bottom) they have blood veins that help keep the hoof growing & the 'inside' portion they can feel....if there's something in the sole/frog that causes pressure or pain they can feel that. But not in the hoof wall itself (the outer) which is why we can put nails thru it when shoeing.
