Alli, You can actually plant them in containers so you could take them with you. I have seen people to that. They smell soooooooooooo good. Then pick them up and move them to/or into your new yard. They are pretty hardy. They do like sun though. There are two kinds and two colors of each, I don't pay a lot of attention to which is which, but the I 'think' the English lavender is a bit more sensitive. The short of this is that one type didn't do as well when I planted it as the other one did. One took off, the other one needs some nursing this year and tender loving attention so I can get it to grow up and be big too. They are beautiful. I will try to take some pictures this summer when they bloom. Bought a raincoat for my camera, but there are no flowers at the moment anyway. Gotta go, Virginia (checking out my boat) in Seattle
I may buy some this year. I have a section on the south side of the house that I didn't get a chance to plant last year (or last 4) so I may get some fragrant flowers/small rooted bushes to plant there. don't have much area for pots......but it might be safer to have them in pots where they won't easily be tromped on by the dogs or kids as my other plants are already LOL Alli :) > Alli, > > You can actually plant them in containers so you could take them with you. > I have seen people to that.
