Shadowbear: Was that Coffeeville, Clarke County, Alabama? My dad's side of the family is Creek/Cherokee mostly Creek and settled there in the 1820's after being "invited" to leave Georgia. My 3g grandparents were then wiped out in the Creek War of 1836 in Clarke County, Alabama. They stayed however till about 1900 and moved to the Bayou country of Louisiana because or the prejudice. Nothing like swamps and skeeters to even things up.
