I know our Peach or Apricot tree (I forget what it is) is happy w/all of this rain.....maybe now's the time to plant a fruit tree? Well....over here in Idaho.....up in Washington it'd probably end up in the lake instead :) Stay safe Alli >I sure hope the apple trees are getting some of this, because the rest of >us > on this side of the mountains are growing webbed feet and starting to > quack. > The local weather man even made the comment that there were Ark building > directions posted on the website. > > With our wonderful County Executive, the druggies and drunks don't have to > sleep on the sidewalks anymore! Another big Thank you. Barbara In Oklahoma Native America
I sure hope the apple trees are getting some of this, because the rest of us on this side of the mountains are growing webbed feet and starting to quack. The local weather man even made the comment that there were Ark building directions posted on the website. With our wonderful County Executive, the druggies and drunks don't have to sleep on the sidewalks anymore! They've been put into 'tent cities' and placed on the 'east side of the lake' so that the people over here can 'recognize the plight of these 'less fortunates'. Fraud Index Number Each Nation will be assigned a Fraud Index Number. The Fraud Index Number is calculated by totaling the points assigned to each in a series of fraudulent acts. The Index Number ranges from -650- which is the worst ranking to -O- which is the best ranking. Organization 1)- Intertribal - Cherokee are not Intertribal. As the old saying goes Cherokees were: "Always conquerors never conquered." (50 points) Traditions 2)- Plastic Elders - Cherokee Elders receive their knowledge first hand through through oral tradition over a great many years not from books instantly. (35 points) 3)- Combines Mormon myth/American Nativism with Cherokee traditions especially that of the Myth of the White Jewish Cherokee/White Cherokee. (20 points) 4)- Have a "Beloved Woman" - This tradition is not Cherokee but was adapted from another nation in one instance by Cherokee living in a border region after Nancy Ward helped to warn the nation of an impending attack. Nancy Ward was the first and last "Beloved Woman" of the Cherokee Nation. (10 points) 5)- There are only seven Cherokee Clans: A-ni-gi-lo-hi (Long Hair, sometimes called the Twister, Wind or Strangers); A-ni-sa-ho-ni (Blue; also Panther or Wildcat 0r Bear); A-ni-wa-ya (Wolf); A-ni-go-te-ge-wi (Wild Potato or Savannah); A-ni-a-wi (Deer); A-ni-tsi-s-qua (Bird); A-ni-wo-di (Paint, Red Paint or War Paint). Any variation is not traditional. (45 points) 6)- Further the Myth of the Peaceful Cherokee (10 points). 7)- Plastic Names - the Cherokee have never collectively been to Hollywood. We never used Hollywood Indian names. (10 points) 8)- Buffalo Traditions - The Cherokee People never had buffalo traditions. Perhaps its because there were no great herds of buffalo crashing through the cliffs and dense woods in the Smokey Mountains. (10 points) 9)- Polygamy - Cherokee Traditions do not include traditions of Polygamy. John Ross' father-in-law said anyone with more than one wife should be shot hung and quartered, or something to that effect. (10 points) 10)- Sacrificing the integrity of Traditional Cherokee medicine by allowing non-Cherokee or non-family members into a sweat. (25 points) 11)- Using sweats for purposes of entertainment rather than for health reasons. (25 points) 12)- Vacation Indians - Cherokee nations, tribes, bands or clans do not exist in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Porte Rico unless a very large Cherokee Family went on vacation. (50 points) Spirituality 13)- Plastic Shamans - If the spiritual leader is called the Shaman there is a problem since Cherokee are not from Siberia and Shamans are. (5 points) 14)- Cherokee Spiritual Leaders do not lead in ceremonies taken from books especially Mooney's Sacred Formulas of the Cherokee. (25 points) " 15)- Non-Cherokees in the Circle - Cherokee Spiritual leaders do not allow it. (25 points) 16)- Non-Cherokees praying in the Circle - Cherokee Spiritual leaders do not allow it. (25 points) 17)- Cherokee Spiritual leaders do not allow Felons convicted under the Right of Blood to enter the Circle or pray in the Circle. This is because Felons according to the Right of Blood would have been killed and are thus dead to the Cherokee People. (25 points) 18)- Mixes Non-Cherokee "American Indian" beliefs with Cherokee Spirituality especially sweats, sundances, ghostdances, potlatches and longhouse traditions . (50 points) 19)- Mixes Mormon myth with Cherokee Spirituality. (25 points) 20)- Mixes Judaism with Cherokee Spirituality. (25 points) Leadership 21)- Leader is the "traditional Cherokee emperor." (50 points) 22)- Leader is a "Hereditary Chief" - Cherokees traditionally elected leaders every 52 moons. (25 points) 23)- Council of Elders acts as the Council. - Cherokee Elders provide advice and teach the people their traditions. They do not rule the Nation. (25 points) 24)- Any association with known non-Cherokee Frauds. (45 points) From the Archives of Blue Panther
